During the Summer of 2009, many of us met in Portland, Oregon for a weekend of fun that was the Northwest YouTube Gathering. At our height, we were a moveable feast of friends traversing the streets of Portland. And like a small army, we had occupied a mall, a food court, a park, and Powell’s bookstore. This shot of us walking through a crosswalk is a favorite memory of mine from that weekend!
Taken the Sunday after VidCon 2011 had just concluded, I like contrast of this shot. Black and white. Before and after. Looking at the menu and looking astray. That year I snapped quite a few pictures that I cherish. I wonder how 2012 will fare!
During a black light party, my friend Jon was standing against a wall watching a magic trick when I captured this moment. I like how it’s dark, his face at an angle and the blue soft light just giving an aura of melancholy.
I can’t remember the exact details of this picture but I remember we were ready to go out and eat. While half our party was still trailing, I caught this moment between Justin and Adam as they ascended up the steps ready to go.
I took this shot many many years ago on the shore of Newport Beach. My old digital camera then got destroyed by the salty air and left all my photos overexposed. But this one came out really great and I really loved it since then.
